Caleb Martin will have the opportunity to continue his career with the Miami Heat. As reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic, the 25-year-old forward has signed a two-way contract with the Florida franchise, thus changing the scene after two courses at Charlotte Hornets.
Without being chosen in the 2019 draft, Martin ended up joining the North Carolina organization, where he has shared a dressing room with his brother Cody Martin. There he enjoyed up to 53 games in the 2020-21 campaign to average 5 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 15.4 minutes per night.
Without receiving an offer from the Hornets to continue with them, Martin now has the possibility of starting a new path in Miami, where his role will begin to be reduced -if they give him minutes-, but where he will also be able to grow in a team that was in the End of 2020 in the Orlando bubble and that for the coming year he only thinks about competing for the ring after the arrival of Kyle Lowry, PJ Tucker and Markieff Morris.
