On the night of the 2020 Draft, the Minnesota Timberwolves acquired the rights to Leandro Bolmaro, who was selected by the New York Knicks in position 23. Since then, the Argentine guard has continued his development at FC Barcelona, where he has played since 2018. However, this will no longer be the case, as Bolmaro is about to sign his first NBA contract with the Minnesota franchise. There are several means that they have taken it for granted in the last hours, pointing out that the player would already be in the city to stamp his signature.
Bolmaro arrived in Barcelona as a player yet to do, but especially during this year he has taken a leap that makes his departure logical. The statistics in Europe have to be taken with a grain of salt, but it comes from averaging 6.4 points and 1.8 assists in the ACB, and 2.9 points and 1.3 assists in the Euroleague, where it has had much less prominence. Far from the numbers, the important thing is to have shown a great version in several of the great games of the year, something that surely has caught the attention of the Timberwolves.
