It seems that the future of Frank Ntilikina will be elucidated shortly. As reported by Marc Stein of The New York Times, the young point guard could sign in the next few days with the Dallas Mavericks for the 2021-22 season.
With no offers since he became a free agent more than a month ago, a little over a week ago it was rumored the possibility that the international point guard for France would go to play in Europe, more precisely at Virtus Bologna; However, the latest information indicates that he will have a new opportunity among the best players in the world.
Being number 8 in the 2017 draft, the truth is that Ntilikina has always been far from expectations. Despite playing for up to four years in New York, at no time has there been a progression in his game that invited people to believe that he could have an interesting future in the NBA. In the last year, 2020-21, he averaged 2.7 points and 0.6 assists in just 9.8 minutes per night in the 33 games he played.
