UEFA opens file to Ibrahimovic

The UEFA confirmed this Monday the opening of a disciplinary procedure to the Swedish player of the Milan Zlatan Ibrahimovic before the possible violation of its regulations due to its supposed financial interest in a betting company.

In compliance with article 31 (4) of its Disciplinary Regulations, the UEFA it has appointed an inspector who will conduct the investigation of the case, on which it will provide more information in due course, as announced.

Swedish media recently published that Ibrahimovic, through a company owned by it, is a shareholder of a sports betting company based in Malta, a situation that contravenes the regulations of the FIFA and the UEFA, which provide financial penalties and suspension of up to three years.

The Swedish striker, who will turn 40 next October, has just renewed his contract with him Milan until June 30, 2022, as reported by the Italian club on the 22nd.
